Crèpes

I was going to write a another post about my fascinating life but instead my family lobbied for crèpes :) I'm going to put the recipe in this post but first I'd like to apologize to all the people who have tried to unsuccessfully post on this blog. I haven't have time yet to check where the problem could be coming from, but I'm hopping to be able to check that out tomorrow.
And now, let's have a crèpe party:

-in between 250-300g of flour ( 1 1/4 cup )
- 4 eggs
- 1 l. milk ( 4 cups )

That's it. Mix it and let it sit 2 hours if you can, otherwise you can use it immediatly.

This is my little sister's recipe and she makes the best crèpes in the world ;)

Hmmmm...CREPES!!! (said in my best Homer Simpson "do-nut" voice heh).

What do you put in them??? I used to think my Mum made the best ones ever - so I'm gonna try your Sis's recipe, just to see :-).

And I loved the pictorial journey you took us on - some wonderful pics there and your "stories' were entertaining and funny. They remind me of me :-).

Thank you Ms Penny!! I read your about me on your blog with no name and we definitly have quite a bit in common :):)
For the crepes, the fillings last night were:
-mushrooms, comté, ham
-homemade raspberry jam from Mark's great aunt who is 98 years old and still lives by herself..and makes raspberry jam!
-cinnamon sugar
There are only 3 crepes left today ;)

Oooooooooh....my little taste buds are watering (seriously!hehe). I've decided we are having crepes for dinner on Sunday night and ham, cheese and mushrooms sounds perfect! Thank-you for the inspiration! :-)

Do you have a crepe maker or do you make them in a crepe pan/frying pan? And just one more question....do you use fat, oil or butter when making them none???

Just making sure I use sis's recipe the right way....that and I haven't actually made them too many times ;-).

quelques suggestions pour les crèpes.... vous pouvez les manger avec du Nuttela, de la confiture, ou juste du sucre en poudre!!

Ms Penny,
I make them in a crepe pan but you can't find them here so if I make them at other people's houses I just use a regular frying pan and it is as good! And I use butter...
Bon Appetit!

Aaaah the elusive search for the best crepes in the world :):)Mmmmm salted butter and sugar, I didn't think about that! Well, there is no choice then: I'll just have to make them again. And then you can come. Maybe you can hitch a ride with Santa? I hear he is being very generous with me this year so he'll take the SUV size sleigh. There should be plenty of room ;)
